After sorting out my list of sheetmetal I got in contact with Gerson. And two weeks ago my "funky green panels" arrived from his shop Klassic Fab ...wow that was fast!
I'm stoked with the arrival of these panels! Now we can continue the work on the 1953 Barndoor project again! Can't wait to fit and measure, fit and measure again, and than weld these in place. My friends Roland and John are going help me out in the welding stage... and that will take some time, trust me.
I hope to give you an update sometime soon...

The '51 CC split was in need of some minor welding. The previous owner had a very bad / nasty battery in the car which leaked and made a hole in the bottom of the battery-tray...
...but thanks to Roland this is fixed now, he really did a very nice job on the panel / floor repair!

While John is helping me with my '53 Barndoor project on the other side of the garage Marcel is helping me out with the electricity in my '51 CC split.
This has to work 100% so we can "safely" visit some shows and meetings this season... I want to drive this baby to Hessisch Oldendorf ofcourse!

It's been over a year since we worked on it, so we took a fresh look at what we're working on and at what stage we are at this moment. John started on measuring up the chassis, and this is all straight so a good base to work on.
We started on the front end and made a list of sheetmetal that needs to get ordered... But I'm glad where back on it again! Thanks a million John!
